Course Overview

Non-Communicable Diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes are becoming more common in our communities. These diseases can often be prevented or managed if they are identified early.

As an ASHA, you play an important role in helping people stay healthy. You visit households, identify people who may be at risk, complete the CBAC assessment, encourage people to get screened, and support them during treatment and follow-up. You also use the National NCD App to record beneficiary information and help the healthcare team provide timely care.

This course will help you learn how to carry out these responsibilities with confidence. Through videos, activities, quizzes, and real-life examples, you will learn how to use the National NCD App and support beneficiaries under the NP-NCD Programme.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand Non-Communicable Diseases, the NP-NCD Programme, and your role in NCD care.
• Understand how digital health supports beneficiary registration, screening, referral, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Use the National NCD App to register beneficiaries, complete the CBAC assessment, manage workplans, and record beneficiary information.
• Identify and resolve common technical problems while using the National NCD App.
• Enter complete, accurate, and timely beneficiary information to support quality healthcare services.
• Communicate effectively with beneficiaries, encourage screening and follow-up, and keep their health information safe and confidential.
